A demonstration risk-assessment layer for mobile money, USSD and agency banking. Instead of asking only whether authentication succeeded, BehaviourGuard asks whether the behaviour surrounding the transaction looks consistent with the customer's normal pattern.
No major behavioural anomaly detected.
This demonstration uses simulated data and a transparent risk-scoring approximation for the web demo.
Smartphone: typing, navigation, timing, beneficiary history, device continuity, authentication failures and transaction velocity.
USSD: transaction amount, timing, beneficiary history, authentication events, velocity and legitimate device/SIM continuity. Touchscreen typing and app navigation are unavailable.
Agency banking: amount, timing, account/beneficiary history, velocity, authentication and agent/session context where legitimately available.
Missing behavioural data should not automatically increase fraud risk.
Synthetic experiment: 10,000 simulated sessions, including 300 simulated ATO sessions. These figures are not real-world fraud-detection performance.
BehaviourGuard is an assistive risk layer, not a replacement for PIN, password, OTP or other authentication. Real deployment requires representative labelled data, privacy controls, calibration, threshold tuning and continuous monitoring.
